The first time I went on Paddleboard was in Barbados and I had to get rescued by a speed boat šš„ļø Yes, me... A Paddleboard Instructor!š

My excuse is that they handed the board and the paddle over and said 'see ya later' š not having a clue how to Paddle, I quickly drifted far out into the ocean and began to fear for my life as the current was too strong to paddle back š
Luckily there was a random, empty boat anchored down in the middle of the sea which became my lifeline š I latched on to the boat and began to vigorously wave my arms, shouting for help š¢

I was shaking, anxious and so scared, scared of the oceans mysteries below me and whether anyone was going to come and save me! š¦
Luckily, my sister did manage to get back to shore and get help š the moment I saw that bright orange speed boat appear on the horizon was the most relieved I have ever felt š¤š¦I trembled onto the speedboat, still shaking but so happy to be alive! š±
My sister loved it so much that she wanted a Paddleboard Lesson for her birthday š I wasn't thrilled to be putting myself in that situation again but reluctantly faced my fears and booked us a private Paddleboard Lesson š

The tables then quickly turned! After being taught how to Paddleboard, I was loving it! It turned from a traumatic experience to a calm and tranquil cruise on the board! š
I randomly thought, 'what a cool job this is' about the Instructors job. Little did I know, a few years later it was going to be my job too! š
From Paddleboard Rescue to Paddleboard Instructor⦠Take it from me, before embarking on that Paddleboard adventure, make sure you're armed with the paddle know-how! It can be super dangerous out there and life threatening šāāļøš¦ŗ
